Friends of the Pima County Public Library are a group of avid library advocates dedicated to supporting and enhancing Library services and programs. Specifically, our mission is to:
The Friends of PCPL is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization founded in 1969 to raise funds for special and innovative library programs, equipment and services, which are not part of the normal annual budget. We accomplish this by raising funds through the sale of used books, memberships, and
grants.
The Friends conduct three book sales a year at its warehouse at 2230 N. Country Club Road. We also sell books online year round and at retail spaces in four libraries. More than 350,000 books pass through the warehouse each year, with between 175,000 and 250,000 available at any given sale.
The Friends has a paid Managing Director who oversees a very large group of dedicated volunteers, some of whom have been involved for more that twenty-five years!
Friends’ financial support of the Pima County Public Library, over $1 Million to date, has made possible the acquisition and/or sponsorship of the following:
Please visit our Membership page to learn more about the benefits of becoming a Friend and the Donations and Volunteer pages to learn how you can help. Your donations of time and money will benefit
